ONLY swimmer age groups 9-10 and 11-12 will swim at this event.


Warm up Schedule:

7-7:15 - ROCKE lanes 1-3, ROCKW lanes 4-6, CPVS lane 7-8

7:15-7:30 - CLRK lanes 1-3, DAMW lane 4-5, HILLS lanes 6-7, late comers lane 8

7:30-7:45 - one way starts - ROCKE lanes 1-2, ROCKW lanes 3-4, CPVS lane 5, CLRK lane 6, DAMW lane 7, HILLS lane 8


Set up and Parking:

We will not be opening the gates to the pool until 6:00am. Families who arrive earlier than that are welcome to set up anywhere outside of the fenced area or wait until that time to set up inside. There will be designated areas for each team inside the fenced area, anywhere outside the fenced area is available for any family, keeping social distancing in mind as you find a spot. Both parking lots near the pool are open, as is the elementary parking lot. You can park on the entrance street to the pool on the entrance side, NOT ON THE EXIT SIDE. Obey all NO PARKING signs and you will be fine. If you park in neighborhoods, please be respectful of driveways.


Concessions:

We will have a vendor selling breakfast items in the morning, then lunch items later in the day. Kona may be there with shaved ice.


Volunteers Shift Change:

We prefer to have our shift change after back strokes.

Warm-up Times

7:00-7:15 Clarke Farms (Lanes 1-3) DAM WEST (Lanes 4-6), HILLS WEST (7-8)

7:15 – 7:30 CRE (Lanes 1-3), CRW (Lanes 4-6), CPV (Lanes 7-8)

7:30 – 7:45 One way starts: CLRK (lanes 1-2) Rock East (Lane 3), Rock West (Lane 4) CPVS (Lane 5), DAMW (Lane 6), HILLSW (Lane 7)


Directions:

17301 Clarke Farms Drive, Parker, CO 80134

Clarke Farms Dr. is a loop that runs through the neighborhood; we are located at the first (north) entrance at Clarke Farms Dr., closest to Lincoln. If you miss the first it take the second and follow the loop.


Parking:

Parking is available on street - Clarke Farms Drive and throughout the neighborhood as well. There is also limited parking at the school lot due to construction. Please do not park in or block residential driveways.


The baby pool is closed during meets and not available for use.


SET UP

We will have NO setting up for teams within the pools area this year. Teams are invited to set up on a first come first serve basis anywhere outside the pool area. Areas for teams to stake out are below:

  • Front of pool building
  • East and West side of building
  • Parking lot area and Park area

We do have a gate from the park area for access the pool deck. You can also enter from the front of the building. 


Concessions:  

Concessions will be located just within the entrance of the pool deck/building.  Breakfast, lunch and snack items will be available for purchase. We serve breakfast burritos, bagels, and donuts and will have and hotdogs for lunch options. There are several snack items as well as water, coffee and soda also available for purchase.


Scoring System:

We will be using the Dolphin Timing System and running a card less meet. Timers will be given instructions on the use of this system prior to the meet start at 7:30am for BOTH 1st and 2nd shift timers.


Heating: 

As previously determined, we will be heating by team within the pool deck area. Each team will need to bring a tent for their heating area. Swimmers will be checked in by their heating volunteers for their events. Swimmers will provide their last names and event when entering the heating area and will be guided to their seat (lane) assignment. Writing the swimmer’s names on their back and events on forearm is very helpful! There will be a heating meeting at 7:30am for BOTH 1st and 2nd shifts at the main heating area at the south end of the pool.

Prelims determine which swimmers will go on to the Championship meet. It determines which events they will swim in and whether they will be swimming in the medal round or the ribbon round.  Check out our FAQs under the Parent tab for more information on Prelims & Championships.

Specific details will be listed under that day's events.  Volunteers can sign-up under that specific Prelim Day!

4th of July Pancake Breakfast FUNDRAISER!

EVERYONE is invited to our 4th of July Pancake Breakfast FUNDRAISER!  This will probably be the only fundraiser we do this year so please join us if you can!  You do not need to live in the Dam West to join us!

Please use the Job Sign-Up if you can help out with Friday doughnuts, Saturday Set-up or Sunday's breakfast and clean-up!

Warm up schedule: Dam West 7:25 – 7:50

Castle Rock West's team colors are RED so please try not to wear red.  Wearing BLUE helps us know that you are with the Dolphins.


Parking: Both parking lots near the pool are open, and possibly the elementary parking lot. You can park on the entrance street to the pool on the entrance side, NOT ON THE EXIT SIDE. Obey all NO PARKING signs and you will be fine. If you park in neighborhoods, please be respectful of driveways.

Team Set Up: Please set up on the left side of the pool as you walk in the gate. They are welcome to be on the deck or outside of the fence on that side, they will need to keep the sidewalk clear as the neighbors may use that during the meet. They are also free to set up in the area between the pool building and the pavilion in the grassy areas. We appreciate as much social distancing as your team is comfortable with.

Concessions: There will be a food truck there serving breakfast burritos, french toast sticks and coffee.  Please be sure to bring your own snacks and food too!

Meet specifics: They run a carded meet and will do combinations "on the fly", so the meet program that is sent out may be modified to combine heats to make the meet run faster.

Heating Areas: They will heat lanes 1-4 and lanes 5-8 separately. If a team has more than 4 swimmers for a heat, they will stay in their respective heating area until right behind the blocks. Cards will be picked up between lanes 4-5 behind the pergola.

Volunteers & Timing: Timers for visiting team will be in lanes 5-8. We prefer to have our shift change after event 48 as there is a natural break with change from back to breast and timers have to move for 25’s.
