Hello Dolphin Families!

I hope you’re all having a nice Memorial Day weekend so far. Here are some updates for the week.

MEET SIGN-UPS OPEN: You can now go to our Sign-Up Calendar and let us know if your swimmer will be at the meets or not. All 5 dual meets are now open.

New families: If you missed our New Family Orientation you can go to our Orientation page and watch the slideshow or the 2022 Mock Meet presentation, both of which will walk you through the sign-up process.

JOB SIGN-UPS OPEN: You can also now sign-up for volunteer positions on the Sign-Up Calendar. First come, first served so sign-up now!

MHSL NEWS & PRELIMS: It seems that every season there is some new wrinkle in the plan and this season is no exception. This season’s “wrinkle” is that the Town of Castle Rock has decided to withdraw from the Mountain Hi Swim League. That means that Division C (our division) is now without two of our six teams. (Castle Rock East and Castle Rock West.) So how does this affect our season?

Dual Meets: For the dual meets, the season will stay the same except that we will now swim against Foxridge and Hills West two times. But our Home and Away meet schedule will be exactly the same.

Prelims: Because Castle Rock was scheduled to host Prelims we had to come up with a new plan. We will now be doing Prelims at Littleton High School. 

Because we will be only 4 teams instead of 6, and Prelims typically run pretty quickly with no relays, we’ve decided to run it all in one day rather than split it into the traditional two days. There will be TWO sessions on the same day.

WEDNESDAY, JULY 9

Session 1: 8 & Unders and 13-18 year olds

7:00am warm-up

8:00am – 11:00am

Session 2: 9–12 year olds

11:00am warm-up

12:00pm – 3:00pm

I wanted to tell you all this as soon as possible because I know it requires parents getting time off of work. For new families, we will get more into Prelims and what they are a little bit later in the season but please plan on attending!

NO PRACTICE ON MONDAY: Just a reminder that there is no practice on Memorial Day. We will see you all at practice on Tuesday morning. Check out our Practice Schedule for general details. Coach Emilie will be sending out an email later this weekend with all of the actual details.
