Hello Dolphin Families!

It was fun seeing some familiar faces and meeting so many new ones at our In-Person Registration this past weekend. I just wanted to send out some reminders as time seems to be FLYING by.

Team Swimsuits, Sweats and T-shirts, etc: You can still order from Swim N’ Things on their website until SUNDAY, MAY 4^th. Select “deliver to rep” at checkout or “pickup in store”. If you select “deliver to rep” the orders will be delivered to our pool before the first meet and available for pickup during morning practices.

If you need sizing help, please go to their store on Evans near I-25. This is also a great place to get swim fins and goggles. (And swim fins really need to be tried on.)

All custom products are discounted. If you would also like to purchase other products (fins, goggles, etc) in store or on Swim 'N Things website, you will receive a 20% discount on all regular priced merchandise. (The code will not work on any discounted product.) Enter coupon code ST25 when checking out online or be sure to tell them you are with Dam West if you go in person.

Swim Caps: You can order PERSONALIZED swim caps through the Swim N’ Things website listed above. They come in a 2-pack and require the same name to be on both caps.

Silicone team swim caps (no names) can be purchased directly from the team for $15 each. These can be purchased from me or Julia Chavez at practices or team events.

Swimsuit Donation: If your swimmer(s) has outgrown their team suit and it’s still in good shape, I am happy to receive them and see if I can find them a new home. You can bring them to any practice or team event. And if you are looking to get a team suit, feel free to check with me first and see if I have any available.

As always, team suits are encouraged but not required. Our team suit colors are typically blue, black and white. (They vary from year to year.) Pictures of this year’s suit can be found on our Team Gear page: https://www.damwestdolphins.com/team-gear

Swim Fins Donations: If your swimmer has outgrown theirs and you would like to donate them to the team, we are happy to receive them. We would love to eventually have enough fins to provide them to every swimmer during practice but do not currently have any to offer. We recommend the "Bettertimes Swim Fin" or something similar. (NO Snorkel fins!) They can be purchased at Swim N’ Things among other places. Any questions should be directed to Coach Emilie.

New Family Orientation: Friday, May 9, 6:00pm - 6:30pm. This is a special presentation for new families. We will discuss practices, swim meets, volunteering, and who we are as a team! We want to make sure you feel welcome and have all your questions answered by the end. We are also planning a quick tour around the pool area to get an idea of what a real swim meet will look like outside.

Welcome Back to Swim Team Party: Friday, May 9, 6:30pm – 7:30pm. To celebrate the kickoff of our swim season, we are having a Welcome Back To Swim Team party! Come get to know the coaches and other families. We are asking you to help by bringing some food. There will be games to play. Bring a chair to sit outside if you would like. Just FYI, the pool will NOT be open for swimming on May 9. The kiddos will have to wait until May 12^th when afternoon practice begins. (I know! It’s so hard to wait!)

Stroke & Turn Clinic: Just a quick reminder that the first training class is THIS THURSDAY, May 1. (There is a STARTER training on SATURDAY, MAY 3.) Check your emails or HERE for details.
