REMINDERS!
Just some reminders for this week!
But first, with all the thank you's I can't believe that I forgot to mention my personal biggest thank you to our new Concessions Manager, Alicia Hornback, for taking over concessions! I know how much time and energy that job takes so THANK YOU so much for taking that on! She and the volunteers did an AMAZING job! I was so impressed!
TEAM PHOTO: The team photo is TOMORROW, Wed, June 22! Please be there by 8:45am! And PLEASE BE ON TIME!! We will not wait for your swimmer and will take the photo as soon as we can so that everyone can move on with their day as quickly as possible. If you tend to be late please aim to be there by 8:30am! Have your swimmer wear their team swim suit if they have one. Caps are not necessary.
SWIMMER SIGN-UP DEADLINE: Thank to everyone who has already signed up your swimmer for Saturday’s meet. If you have not, please go to the Sign-Up Calendar and indicate “Attending” or “Not Attending” by 5:00pm tomorrow, Wed, June 22.
VOLUNTEERS: And hey, while you’re there, go ahead and sign up for a volunteer position! We still need doughnuts, Scoring Table, Scribe, a File-Writer and a few more timers. If you have any questions you can ask Candace Ellman or Jane Robinson at [email protected].
POLTON FUN: For the Polton Panthers, we thought it might be fun to bring our Pawsativity Panthers with us to Saturday’s Meet and take some photos of him at a Meet. Maybe a whole group of them! I’m attaching the file to download and color. Hopefully a parent or 2 can get some kids together to take some pictures since I’m certain I’ll forget. You can help us advertise the swim team at Polton!
MEET RESULTS: 2 relay cards didn’t make it back to the Scoring table so we had the names wrong in 2 events. Otherwise, everything else is the same but I uploaded the corrected Results to the website if anyone wants to see them.
ALL-STARS: Well, I got ‘em all this time but fat fingered one. Gwen actually added the 200 Free, not 100 Free – she already had that one! You can check the “All-Stars” tab under Meet Information to see everyone.
TONI #2: If anyone is interested in helping out with the Friday Night Set-Up, Saturday Morning Set-Up and/or Saturday Clean-Up I could sure use some help! There are 3 main areas that contain our swim team stuff: the Swim Room (the room right when you walk into the clubhouse door from the pool), the Storage Room (downstairs by the bathrooms) and the Shed (next to the baby pool.)
I've done as much as I can making maps and directions to help but I still end up trying to direct everyone in all 3 areas and things get missed. (See "Friday Night Set-Up" and "Saturday Morning Set-Up" under the Parents tab for details.) So I would LOVE to train 1 or 2 parents to be in charge of different areas and help me ensure that everything gets done properly and quickly. Especially on Saturday mornings when there is still a lot to do and time is of the essence. So please let me know if you'd be interested in helping out and I will figure out a time to train you. (It should actually be really quick with more people!)
